Hi, I'm Caroline Spiz!
And that's my cat, Pikuś (pronounced pee-koosh). He's my sweet Canadian cat with a Polish name. I’m the primary voice of Spiz Photography.
I'm a wedding and elopement photographer based in Seattle, WA. You may also know Ziggy Spiz. He’s my dad and he’s been around the scene here for a long time. Ziggy is the one to blame for the start of my photography career. ;)

My photography style
My approach to photographing your wedding day is relaxed and experienced (I’ve been helping my dad, Ziggy, at weddings since I was 13!). I want your photos to stay timeless so you can look back on them decades from now and see the beautiful moments, not the trends.
Portraits and Posed shots
More than likely, your wedding day is one of the only times you’ll ever be professionally photographed in your life. I’ll guide you into natural and thoughtful poses so you’ll feel like you know what you’re doing in front of the camera. Rest assured, I’ve got an eye for detail and I will tell you to take a break when your smile is stiff, pick lint and stray hairs off your clothes, and make sure your clothing is still laying flat.
Candid and documentary
Your wedding day is not just a ceremony, it’s a day where your friends and family come together to celebrate your love. One of my favorite things to do as a photographer is to stand back and sneak pictures of genuine laughs, conversations, embraces of not just the two of you, but also your guests because they deserve to be celebrated too.
Lighting and location
Not all light is created equal! I prefer softer light and I take a lot of care in selecting the perfect backdrops at your wedding venue to represent your wedding perfectly with the best, most flattering light.
